The focal point of CCVP certification includes Cisco Voice over IP and fundamentals, implementation of Cisco Unified Communication Manager and systems, QoS etc. Candidates those who successfully finish the CCVP training get expertise in developing a transparent, scalable and manageable telephony solution.

CCVP Cisco Course Outline

Prerequisite     :   CCNA Voice or any CCIE Certification

 Duration          :   45 days

 Lab Facility         Unrestricted Labs

 Location           :    Calicut

1. 642-436 Cisco Voice over IP (CVOICE)

CVOICE or Cisco Voice over IP v6.0 is one of the courses in the Cisco CCVPTM that concentrates on design, planning and development of VoIP networks. CVOICE covers the fundamental aspects of converged voice and data networks. The course content includes the challenges met by various network technologies and moreover it helps network administrators and engineers with exceptional expertise to integrate gateways and gatekeepers into a VoIP network. The course provides a complete hands-on experience in the configuration and operation of Voice over IP networks.

Course Outline

Module 1: Introduction to VoIP

Module 2: Voice Port Configuration

Module 3: VoIP Gateway Implementation

Module 4: Dial Plan Implementation on Voice Gateways

Module 5: H.323 Gatekeepers

Module 6: ITSP Connectivity

2. 642-446 Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 1 (CIPT1)

Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 1 (CIPT1) focuses mainly on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.0, call routing and signaling component for the Cisco Unified Communications. The course comprises how to install and configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager in a single site. With practical lab activities you will be trained to execute post installation tasks, configuration of Cisco Unified Communications Manager and switches, implementation of Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) gateways and building dial plans to set either on-net or off-net phone calls. Besides all these, you will learn to implement media resources, LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), integration of Voice-mail and a number of other user telephone features.

Course Outline

Module 1: Introduction to Cisco Unified Communications Manager

Module 2: Administration of Cisco Unified Communications Manager

Module 3: Single-Site On-Net Calling

Module 4: Single-Site, Off-Net Calling

Module 5: Implementation of Media Resources, Features and Applications

3. 642-456 Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 2 (CIPT2)

Implementing Cisco Unified Communications IP Telephony Part 2 (CIPT2) prepares you to install and configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager in a multi-site environment. The course focuses primarily on Cisco Unified Call-Manager Release 6.0, call routing and signaling component for the Cisco Unified Communications. The course also provides special attention on the H.323 and Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) gateway implementation, the use of Cisco Unified Border Element, configuration of SRST (Survivable Remote Site Telephony), voice security and various mobility features. The lab activities of the course provide you a comprehensive proficiency to apply dial plan for a multi-site environment, configure survivability for remote sites during WAN failure and implement solutions to reduce bandwidth requirements in the IP WAN. You will also get expertise in call admission control (CAC) and automated alternate routing (AAR) which enable you to route calls over the public switched telephone network (PSTN) on no available bandwidth.

Course Outline

Module 1: Multi-site Deployments
Module 2: Centralized Call-Processing Redundancy, Implementation of call-processing resiliency in remote sites using SRST, MGCP fallback, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express.

Module 3: Bandwidth Management and Call Admission Control Implement CAC to prevent oversubscription of the IP WAN.

Module 4: Features and Applications for Multisite Deployments Implement Cisco IOS Tcl and VoiceXML applications, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Device Mobility, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Extension Mobility, and Cisco Unified Mobility

Module 5: IP Telephony Security Secure

4.642-426 Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems (TUC)

Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems (TUC) is one of the courses in CCVP certification, which enables you to gather efficiency to troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications systems, Unity and IP networks in enterprise, mid-market, and commercial deployments.

Course Outline

  • Methodology and Tools for Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems
  • Troubleshoot Cisco Unified CallManager Related Issues
  • Troubleshoot Call Setup Issues
  • Troubleshoot Voice and Video Quality Issues

5.642-642 Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS)

Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS) v2.1 provides you an in-depth knowledge of IP quality of service (QoS), Integrated Services (IntServ) and Differentiated Services (DiffServ), and the implementation of IP QoS on Cisco IOS platforms. The course covers IP QoS, concerned issues associated with design, and configuration of various QoS mechanisms to facilitate a better administrative policy providing QoS. The case studies and lab activities included in the course help you apply the concepts and theories mastered in the individual modules to real-life situations. The course also covers the design and usage rules of various sophisticated IP QoS features and the integration of IP QoS with underlying Layer 2 QoS mechanisms that can give prospect to design, describe and implement optimal, trouble-free and state-of-the-art multi-service networks.
